Reach Out and Read Oklahoma, Steve Davis and The Black Chronicle Newspaper have adopted the Read To Be campaign asking parents and guardians to read more to your children!
Study shows that children who read or who are read to, will earn a  love for learning, which will lead to success in school, which will lead to a decrease in the drop-out rate.  And that starts at birth!
During the month of February we will be giving out 10,000 books to schools throughout Oklahoma City! How can you get your school register to win free books?  Just go on line to www.blackchronicle.com and register your school, and the school with the most registrations will win the books! Steve Davis will announce the winning school on the Open Mic Talk Show heard on The Touch 1140 every Thursday, at 10am  for the month of February.
